Baroque Silence
As fog entwines with fog,
so Bach weaves into the rooftops of Paris
on a day of rain, darkness,
ancient manuscripts, and baroque silence.
Sebastián Rodríguez Cárdenas (Manizales, 1993) is a writer, poet, and translator. Holding a PhD in Law from the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS) and a PhD in Philosophy from La Sapienza University of Rome, he has delved—through both scholarship and literature—into the intricate bonds between language, power, and the law. In 2020, he published Laberintario: Antología de cuento with Taller de Edición Rocca, and his forthcoming work, Breviarios del desencanto, will be released by Jaravela in 2026. His writing moves along the thresholds of music, history, and art, where polyphonies of wandering, absurdity, power, and the limits of language intertwine.
