Cold.
The gull mouths iron,
called
the coat’s curl liar.
Lady Charity
with her hoarfrost diction
and Trojan effigy
plucks the chicken,
and you – my wicked friends,
speak her spittle
from all your ends
icicles,
jeweled ─ that first syllable
hidden, though derivable.
